We are excited to partner once again with a longstanding client of ours at Empiric. This company is an exceptional business in the heavy equipment sales and services sector.This company has seen very strong growth over the last 3 years in particular, they are hiring for a Service Manager to be based out of their Dallas Office.The Service Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all service operations within their territory. This role has evolved from a primarily dispatching and customer-response function into a strategic revenue driving position focused on maximizing technician utilization, increasing profitability, and growing recurring service revenue.The Service Manager must balance the demands of emergency service requests with proactive scheduling, workforce development, and customer relationship management, ensuring that the company maintains market leadership this territory.ResponsibilitiesManage a dispatcher who performs day-to-day scheduling and dispatch of technicians to maximize efficiency and minimize non-billable time.Oversee and explore NetSuite Field Service Management tools to optimize routes, prioritize calls, and reduce cost leakage from travel.Monitor technician utilization metrics and continuously improve dispatching strategies to achieve target profit margins.Actively manage existing preventative maintenance (PM) contracts, ensuring timely renewals and extensions.Identify opportunities with current service customers to offer or expand contracts, increasing steady, repeatable revenue.Collaborate with Sales and Project Management to align offerings with new equipment purchases, ensuring a seamless handoff into service.Manage local warehouse operations, including receiving parts for service calls, processing machines for upcoming installations, and maintaining installation supplies. Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to consolidate stock and optimize company cash flow.Monitor competitive activity within the territory and take proactive measures to retain and expand market share.Maintain strong customer relationships by visiting customers to review their operations and explore potential service offerings.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceStrong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate mechanical and electrical concepts.Experience with ERP/Field Service Management software (NetSuite preferred).Proven leadership experience managing field service teams in a technical service industry.If this opportunity aligns to your experience and you are interested in a conversation, please apply with your resume.
