Applicants can expect to join a stable, long-established organization that values craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and long-term relationships.Role Description The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Zanesville, OH, responsible for overseeing daily service operations for heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration projects. This role coordinates service schedules, assigns and supervises technicians, and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The Service Manager communicates with customers, provides updates on service work, addresses escalated concerns, and supports accurate estimates and invoicing. Day-to-day activities include monitoring workload, managing parts and inventory for service calls, enforcing safety and compliance procedures, and maintaining clear documentation of jobs and service records. The role also involves coaching team members, supporting training, and collaborating with leadership to improve processes and customer experience.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in HVAC or refrigeration service management, including supervising field technicians and coordinating service schedules.Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and handle escalated concerns professionally.Solid organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple jobs, prioritize workloads, and maintain accurate records.Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.Proficiency with basic computer applications and service management or scheduling software to track jobs, inventory, and documentation.Leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, or developing team members in a service or technical environment.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or HVAC certifications are preferred.Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site in Zanesville, OH.
