Service Technician

AV Innovative Design | Farmingdale, Long IslandAV Innovative Design (AVID) is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality audiovisual and technology solutions in commercial environments.⸻Key Responsibilities• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair AV, IT, and low-voltage systems across client sites• Perform routine maintenance and service calls for installed systems including:• Audio/Video systems• Video conferencing platforms• Control systems (Crestron, Extron, etc.)• Network-connected devices• Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients• Read and interpret system schematics, drawings, and documentation• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues efficiently• Document service activities, resolutions, and system updates• Ensure all work meets AVID quality standards and client expectations• Ability to double as a field technician if needed• Managing and working within company service ticketing system⸻Qualifications• 2+ years of experience in AV installation, service, or IT support• Strong troubleshooting skills in AV and basic networking• Familiarity with systems such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, or similar• Understanding of signal flow, cabling, and system integration• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively• Excellent communication and customer service skills• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites• Proficiency in Microsoft office ⸻Preferred Qualifications• CTS certification (or working toward it)• Experience with commercial AV environments (corporate, hospitality, etc.)• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, VLANs)⸻What We Offer• Competitive compensation• Opportunity for growth within a fast-scaling AV integration company• Hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology• Collaborative and team-driven environment• 401k benefits
