Job Title: Service TechnicianCompany: Security 101Location: NJ/NY MetroSecurity 101 is now recruiting for a Commercial Security Service Technician in the NJ/NY metro area that has 4 to 7 years of strong experience servicing commercial electronic security systems as related to Card Access technology and video management systems with certification or high proficiency working with enterprise software.SalaryStarting hourly wage ranges from $35.00 to $45.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience.Benefits: Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, 401(k) match plan, paid holidays, PTO and more. We will also provide you with a cell phone, laptop, and work vehicle.Why join Security 101?Competitive compensation.Industry-leading security solutions and support.Growth opportunities in a dynamic, expanding company.A team-oriented culture that values high performance.Skills/Abilities: Must have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience servicing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarm systems.Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in troubleshooting networked access control and IP video systems, including working on the customer’s network.Alternative experience such as a multi-site Network Support Specialist or similar.Ability to support customer systems via remote diagnostics with professionalism.Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking is essential.Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to our customer’s satisfaction.Must possess a valid driving license and clean MVR.Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is a plus:Access Control: Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, RS2, OpenPath.Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Hanwha, IPConfigure.Locking Hardware: Mechanical/Electromechanical, Assa Abloy, Schlage, Von Duprin, etc.Responsibilities: Servicing, troubleshooting, programming, and testing enterprise class security systems with minimal supervision. System knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion, and visitor management, a must.Working knowledge that includes the ability to set up and perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on a LAN – familiar with tools like “WireShark” and other network scanning tools. A-PLUS!Familiarization and working knowledge of integrating systems using a manufacturer’s Software Development Kit (SDK) or API. Must have a clean driving record; pass a background investigation and a drug-test screening. Must also be able to work in both office and outside environments, climb a ladder, use a forklift, and carry boxes weighing 50lbs.
