ServiceNow SPM Consultant – FreelanceCapture is looking for a freelance ServiceNow consultant to join its own SPM delivery team on a long-term basis. The role offers a clear path toward Solution Architect over time.You bring real ServiceNow implementation experience and a background in project and portfolio management. On each client project you take on your own workstream and run it largely independently, with Solution Architects supporting you on solution design decisions.Scope of workConfiguring ServiceNow SPM applications to client business requirements: Demand, Project, Strategic Portfolio, Resource Management, Enterprise Agile Planning, Collaborative Work ManagementBuilding workflows, Business Rules, UI Policies and scripts (JavaScript, Flow Designer), keeping solutions maintainable and close to standardTaking part in requirements gathering and, over time, leading workshops; writing functional and technical specificationsTesting: writing test cases, supporting UAT and following defects through to resolutionContributing to integrations: data imports, database views, REST integrationsRegular client contact and demoing delivered workHandling and resolving incidents, keeping the backlog clean and up to dateWorking in agile/SAFe teamsRequirements4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience on implementation projects (not admin or support only), ideally across several clientsSPM/PPM domain experience, ideally with ServiceNow SPM; a background on another PPM platform may also be consideredConfident server- and client-side JavaScript (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies/Actions), with awareness of performance and security impactIndependent work in Flow Designer: flows, approvals, decision logicKnowing when standard configuration is enough and when customization is justified, and being able to explain that choice to the clientSolid testing practice (test cases, UAT, defect handling)Turning business needs into specifications and discussing them directly with the clientProfessional English (B2/C1+)Based within EU time zones and willing to travel occasionally to client sites in EuropeNice to haveCIS-SPM certification (highly valued), plus CSA and/or CADAt least one SPM implementation delivered end to end, covering Demand and Project Management at minimumExperience with other ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM)Building or troubleshooting integrations (REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub)Data migration from legacy systemsPortfolio reporting, KPIs, Platform AnalyticsScoped application developmentAgile/SAFe experienceOwning a workstream independently and managing client expectationsGerman (B2+)What we offerLong-term engagement, starting as soon as possibleA development path toward Solution Architect, with growing involvement in solution design, client advisory and presalesFully remote-first setup within EU time zones
