قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجShadow Teacher / Autism Support Specialist – YanbuRole DescriptionWe are family that is seeking an experienced Shadow Teacher / Autism Support Specialist to provide dedicated one-on-one support for a teenager with autism who is non-verbal and requires individualized developmental and behavioral support.The job is located in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work closely with the family and other professionals to support the individual’s communication, independence, sensory regulation, daily living skills, and overall development.Key Responsibilities* Provide structured one-on-one support and supervision.* Support receptive language and functional communication development.* Assist with sensory integration and sensory-regulation activities.* Support activities related to occupational therapy goals.* Develop independence and daily living skills, including personal care, organization, eating, dressing, and community participation.* Support speech and communication goals in coordination with relevant specialists.* Teach and reinforce life skills and appropriate social behaviors.* Help manage challenging behaviors using appropriate, evidence-based approaches.* Encourage participation in educational, recreational, physical, and community activities.* Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the family.* Coordinate with therapists, teachers, and other specialists when required.Qualifications* Demonstrated experience working directly with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is essential.* Experience supporting non-verbal or minimally verbal individuals is strongly preferred.* Knowledge or practical experience in one or more of the following areas: * Special Education * Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) * Occupational Therapy * Sensory Integration * Speech and Communication Support * Receptive Language Development * Life Skills and Independence Training* Ability to manage behavioral and sensory challenges calmly and professionally.* Patient, compassionate, reliable, and able to build a strong professional relationship with the individual and family.* Degree or diploma in Special Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Behavioral Sciences, Education, or a related field is preferred.ImportantThis position requires someone with genuine hands-on experience supporting individuals with autism, rather than general teaching experience alone.Further information regarding the case, responsibilities, schedule, and working arrangements will be provided to candidates who successfully pass the initial screening process.Location: Yanbu, Saudi Arabia
