Special Needs Assistant to provide individualized classroom and learning support to students who require additional academic, behavioral, communication, organizational, or social assistance.The ideal candidate is patient, observant, compassionate, and able to follow individualized learning and support strategies while working closely with teachers, families, and relevant specialists.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one or small-group support to students according to their individual learning and support plans.Assist students with classroom participation, academic tasks, transitions, routines, and appropriate social interaction.Reinforce instructions and learning activities provided by classroom teachers.Adapt explanations, prompts, activities, and learning materials according to student needs and approved strategies.Encourage students to develop independence, confidence, communication, organization, and self-management skills.Support students in maintaining attention, following classroom routines, managing transitions, and completing assigned activities.Observe student engagement, behavior, learning progress, and areas requiring additional support.Maintain accurate notes and records regarding participation, progress, challenges, and relevant observations.Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, SEN coordinators, counselors, therapists, and other authorized professionals.Communicate appropriately with parents or guardians regarding agreed updates, routines, and student progress.Assist with preparing visual aids, learning resources, schedules, worksheets, and structured activities.Support positive behavior strategies and reinforce expectations using approved approaches.Help create a calm, inclusive, respectful, and encouraging learning environment.Support students during school activities, group work, breaks, transitions, extracurricular activities, and approved educational outings where required.Assist students with organizational skills such as managing school materials, homework, schedules, and classroom responsibilities.Identify and promptly communicate significant changes in behavior, learning engagement, or wellbeing to the appropriate school professional.Maintain professional boundaries and protect student privacy and confidential information.Follow safeguarding, child-protection, health-and-safety, inclusion, and school policies at all times.Participate in relevant meetings, training sessions, progress reviews, and support-plan discussions.Continuously develop knowledge of inclusive education, learning-support techniques, communication strategies, and classroom assistance practices.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Child Development, Teaching, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.3+ years of professional experience as a shadow teacher, learning-support assistant, SEN teaching assistant, classroom assistant, tutor, or similar role is preferred.Experience supporting students with diverse learning, communication, behavioral, or developmental needs.Strong understanding of individualized learning support and inclusive classroom practices.Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.Patient, empathetic, calm, dependable, and highly observant personality.Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with students, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.Ability to follow individualized support plans and maintain consistent routines.Strong organizational and documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to encourage student independence rather than creating unnecessary dependence.Understanding of positive behavior support, differentiated learning, visual schedules, or structured teaching approaches is advantageous.Experience supporting students with ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, or other educational support requirements is advantageous.Knowledge of safeguarding and child-protection principles is highly desirable.Arabic or additional language skills are advantageous.Special education, SEN, teaching-assistant, behavioral-support, first-aid, or child-safeguarding certifications are advantageous but not required.What We
