Shift Manager Pharmacist

Role Description This full-time Shift Manager Pharmacist role at صيدليات دوس - Doss Pharmacies is an on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Shift Manager Pharmacist oversees daily pharmacy operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of medications in line with legal and professional standards. Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy staff, organizing workflow, and maintaining proper stock levels, storage conditions, and inventory records. The role involves counseling patients on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, providing clear guidance on dosage, interactions, and side effects, and promoting appropriate use of medications. The Shift Manager Pharmacist also handles shift reporting, cash and prescription reconciliation, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to support high-quality patient care and an efficient, customer-focused pharmacy environment.Qualifications Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including prescription review, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and patient counseling skills.Proven ability to supervise staff, delegate tasks, and manage workflow effectively during busy shifts.Experience with pharmacy management systems, prescription processing software, and basic computer applications.Solid understanding of pharmacy regulations, medication safety standards, and documentation requirements in Egypt.Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and respectfully.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under time pressure.Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.Valid pharmacist license/registration to practice in Egypt.Previous experience as a community pharmacist; prior experience in a supervisory or shift-leading role is an advantage.Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
