Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the CompanyAl-Toga Trading Company is an established poultry producer operating in Saudi Arabia, supporting farming, production, and distribution activities across the Eastern Province.About the RoleWe are looking for a Shipping & Clearance Officer to join our team and manage the end-to-end movement of shipments from suppliers to their final destination. This role is essential to keeping our supply chain running smoothly and ensuring timely, compliant delivery of goods to support our production and distribution operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with shipping agents, customs clearance agents, freight forwarders, and port authorities to ensure smooth shipment clearance.Follow up on shipments from suppliers from the time of dispatch until arrival at the final destination.Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to the relevant departments.Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of shipping and customs clearance documents.Coordinate customs clearance procedures and resolve any delays or documentation issues.Track shipments through ports, customs, warehouses, and transportation until final delivery.Communicate with suppliers, shipping lines, agents, and transport companies regarding shipment schedules and requirements.Ensure shipments comply with applicable customs and import regulations.Identify and proactively resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, or clearance issues.Maintain accurate records of shipments, clearance documents, costs, and delivery status.Coordinate with internal departments to ensure shipments arrive according to required timelines.Requirements2–4 years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or customs clearance.Strong knowledge of import/export and customs clearance procedures.Experience dealing with shipping agents, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and ports.Strong shipment tracking and follow-up skills.Good communication and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously and meet deadlines.Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Saudi ports and customs procedures.Experience handling international shipments and working with overseas suppliers.Knowledge of shipping documents such as Bill of Lading (B/L), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, and customs documentation.
