Team members at Rohrer contribute to packaging solutions that help partners succeed at retail while supporting a more sustainable future.Role Description The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Mesa, AZ. This position is responsible for accurately receiving incoming materials, verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, and inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies. The clerk prepares outgoing orders by packing products securely, labeling cartons, building pallets, and coordinating shipment schedules with carriers. Daily tasks include operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, maintaining organized storage areas, and updating inventory records to ensure product availability and accuracy. The role also involves collaborating with production, customer service, and other departments to resolve shipping issues, support on-time delivery, and uphold Rohrer’s standards for safety and quality.Qualifications Strong Shipping & Receiving and Packing skills to manage incoming and outgoing materials efficiently and accurately.Ability to safely operate a Pallet Jack and other basic material handling equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.Experience with Inventory Control, including counting, recording, and reconciling stock levels in physical and digital systems.Effective Communication skills to collaborate with team members, carriers, and internal departments and to report issues clearly.Attention to detail and basic math skills for verifying quantities, labels, and documentation.Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials as required in a production and warehouse setting, following all safety procedures.Familiarity with shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, labels) and basic computer or scanner use is beneficial.Prior experience in packaging, manufacturing, or distribution environments and a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred.
