Position SummaryThe Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, inspection, documentation, storage, and shipment of materials, equipment, parts, and supplies. This position works closely with Purchasing, Inventory, Logistics, Operations, Vendors, and project teams to maintain accurate inventory and ensure materials are available when needed.Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inventory· Receive shipments and verify quantities and items against purchase orders and packing slips.· Inspect materials for damage, shortages, overages, or incorrect items and report discrepancies.· Enter receiving transactions accurately and timely into company systems.· Label, organize, and properly store received materials.· Record serial numbers, model numbers, and other identifying information for serialized and high-value components.· Coordinate with Purchasing and vendors to resolve receiving discrepancies.· Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory transfers.· Maintain accurate inventory locations and identify damaged, excess, or unidentified materials.Shipping· Prepare materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for shipment.· Verify shipment contents against pick lists, work orders, or shipping requests.· Properly package materials and prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and required documentation.· Coordinate carrier pickups and track shipments as needed.· Maintain accurate shipping and delivery records.Warehouse & Systems· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and storage area.· Ensure receiving, shipping, returns, and inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely.· Maintain documentation supporting purchase orders, receipts, shipments, returns, and inventory transfers.· Follow established inventory control processes and standard operating procedures.Qualifications· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.· 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.· Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/procurement software.· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.· Ability to accurately count, identify, and document materials.· Forklift experience preferred.· Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
