Apply & track with Apply EdgeA confidential employer is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support the accurate receipt, storage, packaging, inventory control, and shipment of goods.The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and experienced in shipping, receiving, inventory management, and logistics within a manufacturing environment. This individual thrives in a fast-paced setting and is committed to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.What you will do:● Receive inbound deliveries: unload trucks, verify against POs and packing slips, inspect for damage, and document discrepancies● Process receipts in our inventory system, tag assets, and route items to the right team, lab, or storage location the same day● Deliver packages and equipment internally across floors and buildings, including sensitive and high-value hardware● Pick, pack, and ship outbound: parcels, RMAs, inter-site transfers, and palletized freight● Prepare shipments containing lithium batteries and other regulated items per carrier and DOT requirements, with training provided● Schedule carrier pickups, manage the dock calendar, and coordinate loading zone access with building staff● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock, mailroom, and storage area● Operate pallet jacks and, once certified, forklifts and other material handling equipment● Support inter-site moves of equipment and robots between San Francisco locations and Fremont● Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and asset tracking accuracy● Flag process gaps and help build the SOPs for a new functionWhat we are looking for:● 1+ years in shipping, receiving, warehouse, mailroom, or logistics operations● Experience with inventory or receiving software, or strong comfort learning new systems quickly● Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Receiving accuracy directly affects engineering timelines● Able to prioritize on the fly when multiple urgent deliveries land at once● Clear communicator, comfortable coordinating with engineers, facilities, and delivery drivers● Forklift certification a plus, or willingness to get certified. We will pay for training● Valid driver's license preferred for inter-site runsNice to have:● Experience handling electronics, lab equipment, or other high-value or fragile goods● Hazmat or dangerous goods shipping training (lithium batteries)● Experience at a hardware, robotics, or manufacturing companyPhysical requirements:Regularly lift up to 50 lbs and team-lift heavier items. On your feet for most of the day in dock, warehouse, and office environments. Occasional early morning receiving windows for freight deliveries.
