You will work closely with freight and trading desk, as well as with BxT teams in Geneva, contributing to key internal tools, publications, and decision-making processes.What you’ll doUnderstand the drivers of oil shipping and freight markets, including refining and trade flows.Collect and structure real-time data on tanker markets and freight rates.Develop ad-hoc indicators and decision-making tools to track market trends.Build scenario-based models to interpret signals from the oil and freight markets.Identify business needs and develop automated market intelligence tools.Provide timely insights to support trading strategies and market positioning.Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for the oil chartering team.Contribute to the development of U-TRACK, our proprietary Trading & Shipping tracking tool.Context & working environmentAutonomy: You will be responsible for your own analyses and their dissemination.Reactivity: You will operate in a time-sensitive environment where real-time information is critical.Collaboration: You will work closely with trading desks and analysts across regions.Impact: Your insights will shape trading decisions and strategic orientations.Your profileMaster’s degree in economics, engineering, or energy.Strong understanding of energy markets, trading, and shipping.Ability to communicate complex topics clearly in English (Arabic is a plus).Strong proficiency in Python programming, with experience developing and maintaining analytical solutions involving tools and libraries such as Streamlit, Pandas, API integrations, and automation. Familiarity with Databricks is an advantage.Analytical mindset, rigor, autonomy, and initiative.Comfortable working under pressure and with tight deadlines.
