Showrunner/EP for New True Crime YouTube Channel

We’re a storied Legal/Law focused YouTube channel looking for an agile Swiss-Army Knife showrunner/EP with experience in cable news, news-oriented YouTube/podcasting, or true crime, to help create and run a new second channel project in the true crime space. The showrunner will be part of the channel’s conception and launch, and will serve as the core vision-keeper and “conductor of the orchestra.”Core responsibilities include: Overseeing all processes related to creation and rollout of the new channelConceptualizing and producing the channel’s content (e.g. a daily live-to-tape talk show covering biggest true crime news; “evergreen” Bodycam compilations, true crime stories, trial breakdowns, etc.)Overseeing production of various videos, shorts, and vertical cut-downs for social mediaDeveloping and executing a comprehensive growth strategyOverseeing all packaging, community/audience relationship, and channel identityDeveloping, directing, coaching, and empowering on-screen talentWriting host monologs and voice-overs as neededManaging and running a team of producers, editors, writers/researchers, and various freelancers & permalancersReporting directly to the company’s senior executives and stakeholdersThe ideal candidate:Has experience in cable news, or high-volume news oriented YouTube/podcast content Is process-oriented and has experience overseeing complex projectsIs fast, hyper-organized, self-directed, team-oriented, and works well under multiple deadlinesIs knowledgeable in latest video production tech and methodologyIs familiar with the Adobe creative suiteHas creative flare; excellent taste in true crime contentIs located in the USFTE with benefitsPosition is remote
