Signage Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Signage Specialist to support a major infrastructure project in Dubai. The role will be responsible for reviewing, coordinating, inspecting, and supervising signage works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, approved drawings, and relevant international and local standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and coordinate road and infrastructure signage design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.Supervise and inspect the installation of traffic signs, directional signs, regulatory signs, warning signs, information signs, gantry signs, and related signage systems.Ensure signage works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable Dubai RTA requirements and standards.Coordinate with contractors, consultants, designers, utility teams, and other disciplines to resolve technical and site-related issues.Review signage layouts, locations, dimensions, mounting arrangements, visibility, retroreflectivity, and installation details.Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality and progress of signage works.Verify materials and products against approved technical specifications and material submittals.Review and comment on shop drawings, technical submissions, inspection requests, and as-built drawings.Identify non-conformities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.Support testing, inspection, commissioning, and final handover of signage works.Maintain proper inspection records, reports, snag lists, and project documentation.Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders as required for signage approvals and implementation.Ensure compliance with project HSE and quality requirements.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Highway Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in signage works for infrastructure, roads, highways, or transportation projects.Strong experience in road traffic signage and infrastructure projects.Dubai/UAE infrastructure project experience is preferred.Good knowledge of Dubai RTA standards, specifications, and requirements related to road signage.Experience in reviewing drawings, specifications, material submittals, and site installation works.
