Simulation Engineer
ET Robotics · Delhi, India
Apply & track with Apply EdgeET robotics is looking for a simulation engineer to join its highly dynamic team working at the intersection of Locomotion, Manipulation and Physical AI. The simulation engineer would work on bridging the gap between real world and state-of-the-art simulation platforms. The role involves running physical experiments with robots, tuning model parameters, and improving simulation fidelity. You will collaborate on projects that connect simulation environments with real robotic systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct experiments with robotic platforms and compare results with simulations.Work with physics-based simulators (e.g. MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo).Tune and fit simulation parameters to match real-world robot behavior.Develop and improve methods for multibody dynamics, contact and friction, flexible-body behavior, deformables, and numerical solvers.
Qualifications
MTech (or higher) in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, or a related fieldWorking knowledge of multibody dynamics, contact and friction, flexible bodies, cable or wire simulation, deformable objects, stiffness handling etc.Hands-on experience with physics-based simulation tools (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or with physics engines in Unity/Unreal Engine).Programming skills in Python and/or C++Desirable skills:Experience with real robotic hardwareKnowledge of deep learning (reinforcement learning and transfer learning)Interest in sim2real transfer methods.Familiarity with Omniverse, PhysX, Newton, Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, or industrial digital twin platforms.
