Are you someone that will support LifeGift with the preparation and operation of equipment necessary for all simulation and training activities. In addition, responsibilities include inventory, maintenance, troubleshooting, and logistics of simulation equipment and supplies. This position works with the LIFT team, simulation participants, and department educators to promote a physically and psychologically safe learning environment, while ensuring LIFT educational standards are met for all activities. The LIFT Simulation Technician demonstrates a general knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology.Do you possess the attributes to be a successful Simulation Technician and perform the following essential functions?Maintains mandatory daily SIM Center operational routines, including completion of a safety walkthrough, equipment checks, and start-up/shutdown procedures.Provides pre-briefing, orientation, and tours of LIFT SIM Center for participants, faculty, and others.Assists in simulation scenario piloting and ensures data collection systems are operational, if used.Collaborates with department educators and LIFT SIM faculty to schedule and set-up training activities in the SIM Center.Performs other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.Do you have the education and experience to be a Simulation Technician?High school diploma/GED required; associate degree preferredMinimum 2 years’ experience in a healthcare related field.Working knowledge of medical terminology.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.This is an On-Site role.Our PurposeEstablished in 1987, LifeGift offers hope and optimism by delivering life-saving transplants to thousands of people in Texas and beyond waiting for an organ, eye, or tissue transplant.
