Interpreter  in Champaign IL, USA (Full Time Position)Evercorn, Inc. is looking to hire driven individuals who want to challenge themselves in a global work environment.Description:Location:Evercorn, Inc is the U.S. subsidiary of a large Japanese corn starch manufacturer with more than 150 years of history. Evercorn, Inc. buys corn in the U.S. and ships it to Japan. Some corn is purchased through Japanese trading companies and some is purchased directly from U.S. grain merchants. The company also aids the parent company in research and development of new products, and in marketing new products in the global marketplace, including Japan and the US. Location:Chicago ILRequirements: More than 3 years of work experience Professional Japanese/English translation and interpretation skills Experience/interest in grain trading with a concentration in corn is a plus. GPA 3.00 or higher with JLPT N1 for college graduates. Authorization to work in the United States. Willing to travel often. Open to all majors; interest in agribusiness is a plus. Responsibilities include:l  Purchase the required amount of grain at the best possible price, taking into consideration quality, grain type and logistics.l  Interpret Japanese/English during meetings between American companies and Japanese personnell  Gather, analyze, centrally organize, and communicate information on trends in the U.S. corn market, which come from English sources, and translate to Japanese.l  Coordinate, arrange, oversee, and record all storage and transportation of purchased corn from the point of origin to delivery in Japan.l  Engage in international outside sales for new products produced by the parent company, Japan Corn Starch Co., Ltd. Salary:Annual income of $55,000 or more※This may be adjusted after taking into account the candidate’s experience and capabilities.Benefit: The Company establishes a 401(k) savings plan available to eligible employees who have completed at least three (3) months of employment and are at least 21 years of age.
