The company is committed to delivering reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions that ensure the smooth and efficient operation of client facilities across healthcare, industrial, and commercial sectors.Job Purpose:Oversees and manages all site operations for construction, maintenance, or facilities management projects, ensuring resources, schedules, and safety standards are effectively maintained. Leads daily activities, coordinates with project managers, contractors, and teams, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
Plan and oversee all site operation and maintenance activities for services and systems.Provide professional guidance and technical support to supervisors and engineers.Exercise sound judgment and initiate corrective actions as required.Coordinate with the Project Manager to plan and review regular and peak operational activities.Initiate corrective measures for existing services in coordination with the Work Control Centre (WCC).Ensure full implementation of the Work Control Program and related procedures for all O&M activities.Coordinate with other General Superintendents on technical matters as needed.Report all irregular incidents, faults, and accidents promptly to the Project Manager.Submit regular technical reports on operations, maintenance, and system performance.Foster a professional work environment and promote teamwork, planning, and coordination.Keep the Project Manager informed on staff assignments, performance, and operational mattersAssist the Project Manager during client and VIP visits across all relevant aspectsIdentify potential operational problems and recommend preventive solutionsConduct weekly meetings with Superintendents to address technical issues and submit meeting summaries to the Project ManagerMaintain contact with SBG contractors and oversee O&M subcontractors, reporting irregularities to the Project ManagerEnsure compliance of technical staff with O&M administrative policies and proceduresDirect, supervise, and control technical staff performance to maintain operational excellenceOptimize costs by minimizing unnecessary overtime and resource wastagePromote professionalism, discipline, and a strong safety culture among staff.Ensure technical staff understand assigned tasks and perform them in accordance with WCC instructions.Distribute and explain technical data to staff, ensuring full implementation.Recommend training programs to the Project Manager to enhance staff competency and performance.Ensure fair distribution of workload among staff and coordinate plans with WCC to prevent downtime or redundancy.Ensure timely feedback from all service areas is submitted to WCC as scheduled.Plan staff schedules, including vacations and holidays, to ensure operational coverage.Maintain discipline, safety, and proper conduct across all site staff and report violations.Ensure the continuous availability of spare parts and consumables.Control costs by preventing unnecessary purchases of spare parts and consumables.Verify that all material requests are raised with sufficient lead time and complete specifications.Oversee accurate stock-taking of spare parts and consumables when required.Manage and control local cash purchases by preparing SRFs in advance for Head Office approval.Education & ExperiencesBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.Minimum Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in site management, construction, or facilities management, including hands-on experience in overseeing operations and managing teams.
- Experience in managing large-scale construction or maintenance projects is highly desirable.Professional Technical Certificate:Certifications in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are advantageous.Key Skills:
