We are looking for a skilled Skipper to join the crew of the research sailing vessel Eugen Seibold from early November to mid-December 2026.🌍 VOYAGE ITINERARYSpain → Portugal → Canary Islands → Cabo Verde → Canary Islands⚓ YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safe navigation and operation of the vessel
- Share watchkeeping and manoeuvring duties
- Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Support coordination with scientific personnel onboard
- Assist with general vessel management and maintenance📋 YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic Safety Training Certificate
- Seaman’s Book
- Ship Security Duties or Designated Security Duties
- CoC NWO / CoC for Operator of Pleasure Craft Equipment / Ocean Yachtmaster up to 750 kW
- GOC/GMDSS
- Medical Care
- ECDIS IMO
- Valid medical certificate for service at sea
- Experience aboard yachts
- Solid offshore sailing experience in international waters
- Familiarity with scientific or expedition sailing is a plus
- Strong teamwork, leadership and communication skills
