SOC Manager

On behalf of our client, an established technology and cybersecurity solutions provider supporting complex enterprise environments, we are looking for an experienced SOC Manager to lead and further develop their Security Operations function in Athens.This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone with a strong background in Security Operations, Incident Response and SOC environments, who can combine technical cybersecurity knowledge with people leadership, operational management and stakeholder engagement.The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the SOC, leading a multi-level security team and ensuring effective detection, investigation and response to security incidents.🔐 What you'll be working on:Leading the daily operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and ensuring the effectiveness of security monitoring and incident response.Managing and developing a team consisting of L1/L2/L3 SOC Analysts, SOC Engineers and Security Specialists.Overseeing the full incident lifecycle, including identification, assessment, investigation, escalation, communication, mitigation and monitoring.Participating in CSIRT activities and supporting coordinated responses to cybersecurity incidents.Ensuring SOC operations meet agreed SLAs, processes and operational objectives.Managing resources and scheduling to maintain appropriate coverage across a 24/7 SOC environment.Reviewing and improving SOC processes, procedures and the wider Security Operations Framework.Driving continuous improvement across detection, response and SOC operational maturity.Developing SOC reports, dashboards, KPIs and operational metrics and presenting these to senior stakeholders.Working closely with internal teams, customers and external stakeholders during security incidents.Supporting customer discussions and contributing to technical pre-sales activities when required.🛡️ Technology & Security Environment:You will work across a modern security operations environment incorporating technologies and concepts such as:SIEM | Microsoft Sentinel | Splunk | IBM QRadar | XDR | SOAR | Threat Intelligence | Incident Response | Cloud Security | AWS | Azure👤 What we're looking for:Approximately 8+ years of experience within Security Operations / SOC environments.At least 2 years of experience in a SOC Team Lead, SOC Manager or similar leadership position.Strong hands-on understanding of incident management and incident response.Experience working with enterprise SIEM platforms, particularly solutions such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or IBM QRadar.Knowledge of modern SOC technologies and frameworks, including XDR, SOAR and Threat Intelligence platforms.Understanding of cloud security environments, particularly AWS and/or Azure.Strong knowledge of cyberattack techniques, threat vectors, security risks and incident response methodologies.Experience managing technical security professionals across different levels of seniority.Ability to define and track SOC metrics, dashboards, reporting and operational KPIs.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively during high-pressure security incidents.Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and senior management.BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or a related field.🎓 Certifications:Relevant certifications would be considered an advantage, including:CISSP | CISM | GCIH | GCTI | CCSP | ITIL🚀 The Opportunity:This is an opportunity to take a key leadership role within an established cybersecurity environment, combining technical security expertise with team leadership and operational ownership.You will have the opportunity to influence how the SOC operates, improve processes and security capabilities, develop the team and contribute to the continued maturity of the organization's Security Operations function.
