Department: Content & Social MediaABOUT THE ROLEWe’re looking for a creative storyteller to own social media content for SchoolAdvisor and It Takes A Village, platforms that speak to parents and families.You’ll develop ideas, write scripts, create short-form videos and design social content that informs, entertains and gets people talking.Most importantly, you need to know how to find the story.WHAT YOU’LL DOManage day-to-day social media content for SchoolAdvisor and It Takes A Village.Develop creative, social-first content ideas based on trends, conversations and audience interests.Write engaging hooks, scripts, captions and social copy.Create short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube & etc.Design carousels, graphics and other social assets using Canva.Research parenting, education, children and family-related topics.Understand what parents care about and turn those insights into content they want to watch and share.Identify emerging social media trends and adapt them into original content.Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future content.Work with internal teams to take content from idea to execution.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORA strong storyteller with excellent creative instincts.Excellent writing and scriptwriting skills.Strong understanding of social media and what makes people stop scrolling.Good understanding of, or genuine curiosity about, parents and family audiences.Comfortable creating both video and static content.Comfortable being in front of the cameraGood command of English - written and spokenProficient in Canva, IG EditsCurious about trends, culture, people and digital content.Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.Willing to experiment, test ideas and learn from what works.THE BIG THINGWe’re not looking for someone who simply knows how to post on social media.We’re looking for someone who can find the story.Someone who can take an ordinary topic and turn it into something people want to watch, read and share.
