Job Description:Are you a creative storyteller who knows how to turn ideas into engaging social media content? We’re looking for a talented and hands-on Social Media Content Creator to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of social media trends, short-form video, photography, and content production, with the ability to bring creative briefs and content calendars to life. You will work closely with the Social Media Executive to produce engaging, high-quality content that reflects the brand’s identity and performs well across social media platforms. Key Responsibilities:Create and produce engaging social media content based on the approved content calendar, campaigns, and creative briefs.Film and photograph content for social media, including Reels, short-form videos, Stories, product content, lifestyle content, behind-the-scenes content, and campaign materials.Edit short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and other relevant social media channels.Develop creative concepts and visual ideas in collaboration with the Social Media Executive and marketing team.Transform planned content ideas and social media pillars into engaging visual content.Stay up to date with current social media trends, formats, sounds, editing styles, and content techniques.Adapt trends creatively while ensuring they remain relevant and appropriate to the brand.Create strong visual hooks and engaging content that captures the audience’s attention.Ensure all produced content is aligned with the company’s brand guidelines, tone, visual identity, and overall marketing direction.Prepare content in the correct sizes, formats, and specifications for different social media platforms.Coordinate and assist with content shoots, including preparing concepts, shot lists, props, locations, products, and other production requirements.Work closely with Graphic Designers, Social Media Executive, Marketing Team, and other departments when required.Organize and maintain photo, video, and content libraries for future use.Ensure content is produced according to deadlines and the social media publishing schedule.Continuously suggest new creative content ideas and opportunities to improve the quality and engagement of the brand’s social media presence.Requirements:Diploma or degree in Media, Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Film Production, Photography, or a related field is preferred.Previous experience as a Social Media Content Creator, Content Creator, Videographer, or similar role.Strong portfolio demonstrating social media content creation, particularly short-form video and photography.Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and other major social media platforms.Experience filming content using professional cameras and/or smartphones.Proficiency in video editing software.Basic knowledge of design tools is an advantage.Good understanding of social media trends, storytelling, composition, lighting, framing, and visual aesthetics.Ability to translate a creative brief or content idea into engaging visual content.Strong attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple content requirements, and meet deadlines.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Creative, proactive, and comfortable suggesting new ideas.Positive attitude and willingness to learn, experiment, and grow within the role.Preferred Qualifications:Experience creating content for brands, retail, hospitality, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, food, or consumer-focused businesses.Experience creating TikTok- and Reels-style content.Knowledge of motion graphics and basic animation.Photography and videography experience.Experience appearing in or directing people for social media content is an advantage.Understanding of basic social media performance metrics and what makes content engaging.If you're a creative individual who understands social media and loves turning ideas into engaging content, we want to hear from you!
