We help brands drive their entire acquisition strategy and produce some of the highest performing ads in the country: www.shortagency.aeAbout 30 people, based in Bordeaux, 500+ brands across every sector. Creative strategy, media buying, production and editing, all in house. We are now launching the Emirati branch. The team is being built from scratch, and the Social Media Manager we hire will be one of the very first people on the ground, working directly with Mathis Faivre (Short Agency Group) and Clément Vannier, General Manager for the UAE.Must-havesYou create content yourself, and you still do. Video and visuals. Not a brief writer who hands it over: you shoot, you edit, you postYou have created content for brands, not only for your own accountsVertical is your home turf. TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts. Agency, brand side or freelance with real clientsFrench and English, both at professional working level. Arabic is a plusBased in DubaiThe roleYou own the social media output of the clients assigned to you, from the strategy to the published post. You imagine what the brand should say, you go and film it, you edit it, and you are the person the client talks to.This is a hands-on role. You are not orchestrating a production team from behind a desk: on shoot days you are on site with the client, phone in hand, directing them in front of the camera.Content creation. Shoot video content, mostly on iPhone. Edit it: cuts, subtitles, sound, pacing. Create static and animated visuals. Write hooks, captions and scripts. Hold a consistent identity for each brand and produce enough volume to feed a real publishing rhythm. The goal is content that gets watched, not content that gets approved.Editorial strategy. Build the editorial line for each client: angles, formats, tone, rhythm. Turn a business objective into content ideas that work on the platforms. Build and hold the content calendar. Watch what performs, inside and outside the client sector. Adapt the same idea to TikTok, Reels and Shorts without publishing the same thing three times.Shoot days. Prepare the ideas, the shot list, the props, the location. Run the day on site. Direct people who are not actors and are uncomfortable on camera. Shoot light: phone, natural light, minimal gear. Come back with enough material for several weeks of publishing. These are social shoots, not ad productions: no crew, no heavy setup, no permits to chase. What matters is speed, volume and making an ordinary business owner look good on camera.Client relationship and performance. Be the main point of contact for your clients, run kick offs, present the strategy and defend the creative choices, manage feedback and the difficult conversations yourself. Read what worked in views, retention and engagement, turn that into the next batch, and report in plain language rather than vanity metrics. What this role demandsSomeone who produces. Taste, speed, and the flexibility to shoot on a Tuesday afternoon because that is when the client is available. Real autonomy, real ideas, and the ability to hold several brands at once without any of them feeling neglected.Being one of the first UAE hires means real upside as the team grows, with a path toward leading the social media output for the whole market.Terms and compensationIn-house or freelance, both are possible.
