Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a creative, strategic, and results-driven Social Media Manager to join our growing team in Mohali.The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing IMARKIT MEDIA’s social media presence, developing engaging content strategies, growing our digital audience, and creating campaigns that drive reach, engagement, and brand awareness.You will work closely with our News, Content, Video, Graphic Design, and Marketing teams to turn stories, news, campaigns, and creative ideas into engaging social media content.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and TikTok.Manage day-to-day social media accounts, including content publishing, scheduling, monitoring, and engagement.Create and maintain a social media content calendar aligned with news, campaigns, trends, and business objectives.Transform news stories, interviews, videos, graphics, and marketing campaigns into engaging social media content.Write compelling captions, headlines, hooks, CTAs, and social copy.Identify trending topics, formats, hashtags, sounds, and viral content opportunities.Monitor social media trends and recommend new content formats and strategies.Increase followers, reach, engagement, views, shares, comments, and overall audience growth.Work with video editors and graphic designers to produce Reels, Shorts, Stories, carousels, thumbnails, posts, and promotional content.Coordinate with the news/content team to ensure timely publishing of breaking news and important updates.Maintain brand consistency across all social media platforms.Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and help build an active online community.Monitor audience feedback and identify opportunities to improve content performance.Analyze social media insights and prepare regular performance reports.Track KPIs such as reach, impressions, engagement rate, watch time, follower growth, clicks, and conversions.Conduct competitor and industry research to identify content and growth opportunities.Plan and execute social media campaigns for news, brands, events, promotions, and advertising campaigns.Support paid social media campaigns and coordinate with marketing/advertising teams where required.Experiment with new tools, AI platforms, content formats, and emerging social media trends.Stay updated with changes to social media algorithms, platform features, and best practices.Content & Creative SkillsStrong understanding of social media storytelling and digital content creation.Excellent knowledge of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Stories, carousels, and short-form video.Strong copywriting and headline-writing skills.Ability to create engaging content around news, entertainment, brands, and trending topics.Strong understanding of social media algorithms and audience behavior.Good visual sense and understanding of branding, typography, layouts, and creative content.Ability to identify what makes content shareable, engaging, and viral.Experience with social media management and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, LinkedIn Analytics, Google Analytics, Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar platforms is an advantage.Requirements2 to 8 years of experience in Social Media Management, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, or a related role.Proven experience managing social media accounts for a company, media organization, agency, or brand.Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their algorithms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong knowledge of English; Punjabi and Hindi will be an advantage.Strong understanding of social media trends and digital audiences.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Creative mindset with a strong understanding of current digital trends.Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with creative and editorial teams.
