Social Media Marketing Internship

The Retreat Co is looking for a Social Media Intern will help grow The Retreat Co's digital presence by creating engaging content, managing day-to-day interactions on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn and supporting marketing initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about community, storytelling, outdoor adventure and wants hands-on experience in content creation, branding, and digital strategy within a fast-growing women-led travel company. Through this experience, you'll get a taste of what it's like to be an entrepreneur, business owner, and a well-rounded marketer.ResponsibilitiesCreate a social calendarPlan, organize and schedule postsInvent creative ideas for reels, behind the scenes moments, playful posts, themes, etcCreate content with photos/videos with engaging captionsEngage with our community by responding to DMs and commentsSeek out and cheer on our retreat attendees, partners and potential guestsFind other content that aligns with our brand to share and engage withMonitor performance and identify ways to grow through our social mediaIdentify trends to improve our engagementBe our eyes and ears in the social space for aligned influencers, creators, and partnersQualificationsPassion for social media and content creationStrong written communication and a good visual eyeOrganized and detail-orientedFamiliarity with Canva, CapCut, or similar design/video tools is a plusFamiliarity with ManyChat a plusBonus points if you have social media experienceSelf-starter, creative, and eager to learnPassionate about the outdoor industry, women supporting women and and women-led brandsFAQTime Frame: October - March (6 months) desired but flexible based on availability and other academic or other commitments. There's also potential to stay on longer.Pay: Interns receive a stipend or class credit (whichever is preferred by the intern). We’re committed to making sure you walk away with real-world experience. We’re happy to work with your school to offer credit, and there is potential to stay on in a paid capacity as our team continues to grow.Approx Hours per week: 7-15; part timeAbout The Retreat CoFounded in 2018, The Retreat Co is adventures in nature for women who can't sit still. The idea behind it is that there's not enough opportunities like this for women—opportunities to get outside, to adventure, and to challenge ourselves in a compassionate environment. We organize in person and virtual experiences for women to gain confidence, collaborate and connect with other women.
