Their products are already sold through some of the largest retailers in the country, but their social presence is just beginning to scratch the surface of what's possible.Now they're looking for a Social Media Manager to become the strategic voice behind the brand.The goal isn't to fill a feed with product shots or constantly tell people what to buy.It's to build a social presence that makes someone stop scrolling and think:"Wait... I remember that."Childhood memories. 90s and early-2000s culture. Forgotten trends. Music. Movies. Pop culture. What they need is someone who knows how to turn all of that creative energy into an actual social strategy.You'll:Own social strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and emerging platformsBuild the content calendar and turn ideas into organized campaignsDevelop a distinct brand voice around nostalgia, humor, emotion and cultural momentsIdentify trends quickly and know which ones the brand should jump onUse social listening to uncover conversations and nostalgic moments worth building content aroundDevelop influencer and creator collaborations that feel authenticTrack performance, engagement, audience growth and content KPIsTest hooks, formats and storytelling approaches and use the data to determine what comes nextHelp capture spontaneous behind-the-scenes video and photography when opportunities ariseWork alongside creative resources and potentially an outside agency while serving as the internal owner of socialExplore AI-powered tools for content creation, ideation and marketing workflowsThis is where the opportunity gets particularly fun.The company has an established national retail footprint and a portfolio of recognizable consumer products with stories behind how they were rediscovered, recreated and brought back to market.There are also major brand collaborations and creative product launches already in development, giving the Social Media Manager plenty to work with from day one.The founders want to tell more of their own story, too.Think:Founder content. Viral short-form video.Longer term, the company also sees significant opportunity to grow its e-commerce presence through channels like TikTok Shop, Instagram Shop and its direct-to-consumer business.You'll be joining at the point where all of those pieces are ready to be brought together.Who We're Looking ForWe need someone who actually knows social media, not someone who simply knows how to post on it.You should have:3–5+ years of professional social media management experienceExperience marketing a physical consumer product, ideally within CPGDeep understanding of TikTok, Instagram and short-form contentExamples of accounts, campaigns or content you've personally helped growStrong instincts around trends, virality, storytelling and cultural relevanceExperience using analytics to understand what's working and pivot when it isn'tInfluencer or creator partnership experienceStrong organizational skills and the ability to take an idea from concept → campaign → execution → measurementComfort working independently and taking ownershipExperience with Sprout Social or a comparable social management platformExperience with AI content tools, Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, email marketing or e-commerce would be a major plus.How to Stand OutAlong with your resume, we'd love to see:Social accounts you've personally managedExamples of campaigns or high-performing contentMeasurable results you've drivenYour specific role in creating the strategy/contentAnd if you really want to get our attention, come prepared with 2–3 ideas for how you'd turn nostalgia into social content people can't help but share.If you live and breathe social media, understand consumer brands, and want the freedom to build something genuinely fun, this is the kind of role where your work could reach millions.
