Social Studies Teacher

Role Description The Social Studies Teacher will deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons to middle school learners, with a strong emphasis on world history and broader social studies topics. Responsibilities include planning daily and unit-based lessons, designing classroom activities, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, participate in school events, and maintain clear communication with parents and guardians. The role also involves creating an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and promotes critical thinking, global awareness, and civic understanding. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Doha, Qatar.QualificationsStrong subject-matter knowledge in Social Studies and World History, with experience teaching middle school learners.Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including designing standards-based units and assessments.Relevant teaching qualification, such as a bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Social Studies, or a related field.Valid teaching license or certification, or eligibility to obtain one, in accordance with local regulations.Demonstrated ability to use a variety of instructional strategies and educational technologies to support student learning.Effective classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an international school setting.Prior experience teaching in international or multicultural schools is an advantage; familiarity with international curricula (e.g., IB, British, American) is beneficial.
