Software Architect & Engineering Lead — Agentic AI Platform

We're looking for a Software Architect and Engineering Lead to take ownership of our engineering team and shape the architecture behind our platform — both our microservice-based systems and our agentic AI platform.You'll set the technical direction for the department, working closely with the CTO to decide how we build, and acting as the bridge between product and engineering so we ship scalable, future-proof solutions. This is a hands-on role: you don't just delegate problems, you get into the code with your team, find the root cause, and fix it. You take full ownership — of the team's output, the architectural decisions, and the platform's long-term health.What You'll DoDefine and evolve our software and AI architecture, including an agent framework built on the MCP (Model Context Protocol) standardEvolve our microservice architecture and ensure services interoperate cleanly as the platform growsSet architectural standards for API design, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructureArchitect and optimize our data layer across PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, and other storesDesign AI agent architectures and workflows, and coach the team in agentic software developmentAlign technology decisions with business strategy alongside stakeholders and leadershipOwn security, quality, and performance across all systemsLead and mentor the engineering team on architectural principles and best practicesWhat You'll BringProven experience in software, systems, and AI architecture, ideally including time leading or mentoring an engineering teamStrong grasp of microservices, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS)Hands-on proficiency in Python, API design, data structures, and databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)Real experience designing AI architectures, AI agents, and generative AI systems — bonus points if you've worked with MCPA track record of agentic software development in production, not just prototypesComfort with UML and writing clear architectural documentationThe judgment to think strategically and abstractly, paired with the communication skills to bring stakeholders and engineers along with youA visionary, empathetic approach to leadership — you influence through clarity and trust, not just authorityWhere You'll Work This is a 100% on-site role — either Venlo/NL or Cluj Napoca/RO.
