Rather than focusing on one specific technology area, you will help shape engineering practices, modern platforms and scalable solutions across the organisation.The role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud, architecture and AI, with significant influence over the organisation's future technology direction.What You'll DoPartner with engineering teams to solve complex architectural and technical challengesEstablish scalable patterns and standards that can be adopted across different development teamsHelp shape the organisation's approach to modern software delivery, from development through to productionDesign and evolve internal platforms, frameworks and developer toolingContribute directly to engineering work where required, while providing broader technical directionAssess existing systems and lead pragmatic approaches to modernisation and migrationImprove the use of APIs, messaging, integration and cloud technologies across the technology estateHelp teams make effective use of AI and AI-assisted development toolsIdentify opportunities to improve software quality, resilience, scalability and developer productivityWork with stakeholders across technology and the wider business to turn requirements into sustainable technical solutionsWhat We're Looking ForSignificant experience as a Software Architect/ Technial ArchitectStrong hands-on development background in PythonExcellent knowledge of distributed systems and modern software designExperience working with AWS Strong understanding of integration, APIs, messaging and event-driven architecturesProven experience introducing engineering standards, tooling or platforms across multiple teamsSolid understanding of CI/CD, testing and modern software development practicesExperience in front office trading environments.
