Working across our ecosystem, you will design resilient, secure, and highly scalable cloud-native architectures.Your primary focus will be on the core backend services, event-driven architectures, and high-concurrency cloud systems that power real-time streaming for millions of concurrent users globally. Secondarily, you will collaborate with our data and data-science teams to design clean integration patterns for modern AI capabilities—such as personalization engines, smart search, and automated metadata generation—ensuring they fit seamlessly into our broader software ecosystemKey ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Leadership: Define and document the architectural vision, guidelines, and roadmaps for our core platform services, ensuring alignment with global business objectiveSystem Design & Integration: Design distributed, event-driven, and highly resilient microservices architectures using Java, Node.js, and PythonCloud Infrastructure (AWS): Architect secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-native systems using AWS services. Establish best practices for cloud-native deployment, multi-region failover, and disaster recoverAI & Data Integration: Collaborate with Data Science and AI specialists to architect integration points, APIs, and pipelines that embed AI capabilities (e.g., personalization, recommendation engines, GenAI search) into the core user experienceTechnical Governance: Establish, champion, and enforce engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices across development teams. Conduct architecture reviews and threat modelinPerformance & Scalability: Optimize end-to-end platform performance to handle massive concurrent traffic spikes during live sporting and entertainment eventMentorship & Collaboration: Mentor senior developers and tech leads, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellencee.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience: 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3–4 years in a dedicated Software Architect or Principal Engineer roleBackend Mastery: Deep hands-on experience and architectural understanding oJava (Spring Boot, microservices patterns, JVM tuningNode.js (TypeScript, asynchronous programming, lightweight API gatewaysPython (FastAPI/Flask, data processing pipelines, scripting, and automationAWS Expertise: Proven track record of designing architectures on AWS. Deep knowledge oCompute & Serverless (EC2, ECS/EKS, LambdaDatabase & Storage (DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, S3, ElastiCache/RedisIntegration & Messaging (SQS, SNS, Kinesis, EventBridge, KafkaNetworking & Security (VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Route 53, API GatewayArchitectural Patterns: Strong mastery of microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), domain-driven design (DDD), and RESTful/GraphQL API design.AI/ML Exposure: Practical understanding of how to integrate application backends with AI/ML systems.
