Software Dev Engineer II

As an SDE II, you will play an integral role in architecting and owning the end-to-end design of complex frontend systems that serve millions of Swiggy users. You will co-own the technology vision of your team and drive significant contributions to the product's technical direction. Working closely with product, design, and backend teams, you'll translate requirements into scalable, performant, and maintainable frontend solutions. You'll be responsible for building user-facing features with pixel-perfect implementations, establishing best practices, and mentoring junior engineers to deliver mission-critical applications.Job DescriptionCore Technical Skills:Expert proficiency in React and TypeScript — strong understanding of hooks, state management patterns, and TypeScript best practicesDeep expertise in Next.js — including Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), API routes, middleware, optimization strategiesSolid understanding of ES6+, async/await, functional programming patterns, and modern JavaScript practicesProficiency in modern CSS — Tailwind CSS, CSS modules, CSS-in-JS solutions (Emotion, Styled Components), and responsive design principlesHands-on experience with modern build tools — Webpack, Vite, ESBuild, or equivalent bundlers; understanding of tree-shaking, code splitting, and lazy loadingStrong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and automation
