Role Description This part-time, remote Software Developer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software tools and systems that support ACERSERV’s operations and services. The Software Developer will build and optimize back-end components, APIs, and integrations to streamline internal workflows, data management, and customer-facing platforms. Daily tasks include writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting and resolving software issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, and implementing enhancements to existing systems. The role also involves participating in code reviews, documenting technical solutions, and ensuring best practices in security, performance, and scalability.QualificationsCandidates should possess a strong foundation in Computer Science, including core concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.Candidates should possess knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and apply OOP principles to build modular, maintainable code.Relevant qualifications include experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases, and basic understanding of cloud or deployment environments.Additional beneficial qualifications include strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, effective communication skills, and prior experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
