Job Summary Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. This individual will be on a long-term contract with the opportunity to convert and work in a hybrid environment in Denver, CO. This is the ideal opportunity for a driven professional with 1-2 years of experience looking to gain further knowledge in full-stack development practices.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign, modify, develop, and maintain software applications and supporting systemsTranslate functional requirements into technical design specifications and implementation plansParticipate in agile development activities (e.g., 2-week sprints, standups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvementCollaborate with engineers to ensure code quality, consistency, and maintainability through reviews and shared technical standardsBuild and maintain reliable front-end and back-end features across the stackDevelop and publish modular packages/components and APIs (e.g., internal libraries or public-style packages)Maintain strong testing discipline and contribute to improving automated coverage and reliabilityTroubleshoot complex issues across unfamiliar systems by applying systematic debugging and systems thinkingRequired Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical mastery)React: 2+ years of experience with front-end developmentNodeJS (e.g., Express/Hapi or similar): 2+ years of experiencePython (FastAPI preferred; Django/Flask acceptable)Relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred): 2+ years of experienceBrowser/API/E2E testing experience with at least one of: Playwright/Selenium (2+ years)Linux experienceFull-stack development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScriptPreferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)Containerization and deployment experience and working knowledge of CI/CD container workflowsWebSocket experience (e.g., Socket.IO)Go (Golang) experienceNetworking exposure (TCP/IP fundamentals, troubleshooting networked systems)Experience integrating third-party APIsTest-driven development (TDD) experienceDevOps exposure (e.g., operational ownership, CI/CD pipeline improvements, reliability practices)Work EnvironmentLocation: Denver, COHybrid - 4 Days OnsiteCompensation & BenefitsPay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $90,000 and $105,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
