Their Technology team builds the applications, automations and integrations that the rest of the business actually uses every day - the tools that help people work well, from anywhere.They’re looking for a Software Developer who wants to solve real operational problems, not just write code in isolation.The Role:You’ll join a collaborative internal Technology team and work across the full development lifecycle: understanding what colleagues need, building or improving the solution, testing it, releasing it, and supporting it once it’s live.A lot of the work sits in the modern Microsoft stack - SQL, Azure, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform - but you’ll also pick up older systems, improve them, and sometimes rewrite them. If you like variety, ownership and seeing your work used by real people, this will suit you.What You’ll Do:Develop, test and maintain applications, components and integrationsWork with colleagues across the firm to turn business problems into practical technical solutionsBuild and improve web applications, services and automated processesInvestigate and resolve live application issuesContribute to code reviews, documentation, planning and releasesApply secure-by-design thinking and the firm’s information security standardsLook for ways to remove repetitive manual work through automationShare knowledge, take ownership of your work, and keep learningWhat We’re Looking For:At least one year’s experience in software development, application support, or a related technical roleWorking knowledge of one or more of Python, Java, C/C++, SQL, or similarExperience with databases and data-driven applicationsFamiliarity with APIs, web technologies (including HTML and CSS), and how applications fit togetherExposure to source control, testing, and ideally DevOps or CI/CDInterest in automation, AI or low-code toolsClear communication, including with non-technical users who may be under pressureA methodical, ownership-led way of working, and a genuine interest in making things betterExperience in professional services, or supporting internal users rather than external product customers, would be a strong plus.ADVERT DISCLAIMERResearch indicates that men will apply to a role when they only meet 50-60% of the descriptions, however, when looking at women and other minority groups, they can look for up to a 99% match in order to apply to a role.
