Software Developer

Software Developer required by a growing technology company located in Bournemouth. Hybrid remote - offices in central Bournemouth.The Software Developer will help build, improve and support business-critical applications across Java microservices and front-end technologies.This is a hands-on role covering the full development lifecycle. You’ll deliver new features, maintain production systems, strengthen test coverage and tackle technical challenges across application, infrastructure and cloud environments.The RoleDevelop features for new and existing applications based on customer requirements.Build maintainable, scalable and secure production software.Write and maintain meaningful unit tests.Review code and contribute to clear technical documentation.Investigate defects and reduce technical debt across a varied technology stack.Build and deploy artefacts to production and test environments.Troubleshoot application, infrastructure and environmental issues.Contribute to agile ceremonies and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.What You’ll BringStrong full stack software development experience.Experience developing Java-based microservices.Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.Familiarity with MySQL or an equivalent database.Experience testing Java web services and/or microservicesEffective problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.Experiencer in any of the following areas would be advantageous but is not essential AWSRESTful APIsAndroidRabbitMQJiraGitIf you are seeking a role of this nature please get in touch for more information.
