Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled, analytical, and innovative Software Development professional to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain reliable software solutions that support business objectives and evolving user needs. The successful candidate will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and system design to implementation, testing, deployment, optimization, and continuous improvement. This role collaborates closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, software engineers, QA teams, DevOps professionals, security specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software products.Key responsibilities include analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into effective software solutions; designing scalable application architectures, system components, APIs, databases, and software interfaces; developing clean, maintainable, efficient, and reusable code using appropriate programming languages and development frameworks; building and maintaining web applications, mobile applications, backend services, APIs, microservices, enterprise platforms, and cloud-native solutions; conducting code reviews, debugging software defects, optimizing application performance, and implementing solutions that improve reliability and maintainability; developing automated unit, integration, functional, and performance tests to ensure software quality; collaborating with QA teams to identify, investigate, and resolve software issues throughout the development lifecycle; integrating third-party APIs, databases, cloud services, authentication systems, payment platforms, and external technologies where required; implementing secure software development practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, input validation, vulnerability prevention, and secure coding standards; working with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, and application observability; utilizing cloud platforms, containers, orchestration technologies, version control systems, and modern development tools to improve software delivery; leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, AI-assisted development tools, automation, and intelligent testing technologies to improve development productivity and software capabilities; participating in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or other collaborative software development methodologies; preparing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API specifications, release notes, and development guidelines; monitoring application performance and production environments to identify opportunities for optimization and reliability improvement; supporting software upgrades, migrations, integrations, and modernization initiatives; and staying informed about emerging programming languages, frameworks, cloud technologies, cybersecurity practices, software architecture patterns, and global software development best practices.The Software Development professional is expected to combine strong technical expertise with analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to deliver high-quality software solutions. Success in this role requires excellent collaboration, communication, adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and technological innovation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, APIs, system architecture, and software development methodologies.Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, C++, Go, PHP, Ruby, Swift, Kotlin, or similar technologies.Familiarity with modern development frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, .NET, Spring Boot, Django, FastAPI, Laravel, or equivalent platforms.Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or similar technologies.Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices, event-driven architecture, message queues, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development.Proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar version control and collaborative development platforms.Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployment processes.Familiarity with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Strong understanding of software testing, debugging, code quality, performance optimization, application security, and secure software development practices.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Strong written, verbal, technical documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple development tasks and priorities.High level of professionalism, adaptability, attention to detail, collaboration, and commitment to software quality.Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-assisted programming, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), automation, and intelligent software systems is advantageous.Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), or similar development methodologies is beneficial.Professional certifications in cloud computing, software engineering, cybersecurity, DevOps, or related technologies are considered advantageous but are not mandatory.Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about emerging software technologies, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, automation, development frameworks, and global software engineering best practices.
