Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionWe are seeking a highly capable, innovative, and solution-oriented Software Development professional to design, build, test, deploy, and continuously improve modern software applications and digital platforms. The successful candidate will contribute across the software development lifecycle, transforming business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, efficient, and user-friendly solutions. This role collaborates with product managers, software engineers, UX/UI designers, QA specialists, DevOps teams, cybersecurity professionals, data teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable technology products.Key responsibilities include analyzing functional and technical requirements and translating them into software solutions; designing application architectures, system components, APIs, databases, services, and integration frameworks; developing clean, reusable, maintainable, and high-performance code; building web applications, mobile applications, backend services, enterprise systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications; conducting code reviews, debugging defects, resolving technical issues, and optimizing application performance; designing and implementing automated unit, integration, functional, regression, and performance testing; collaborating with quality assurance teams to identify and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle; integrating third-party services, APIs, databases, authentication systems, payment platforms, and external technologies; applying secure software development principles including authentication, authorization, encryption, data protection, vulnerability prevention, and secure coding practices; working with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment workflows, infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, and observability; using version control, containerization, cloud platforms, and modern development tools to improve software delivery and operational efficiency; supporting application migration, modernization, system integration, upgrades, and scalability initiatives; leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, AI coding assistants, automation, and intelligent testing technologies to improve software development productivity; preparing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API specifications, release documentation, and system guidelines; monitoring production applications and analyzing performance, reliability, availability, and user behavior to identify opportunities for improvement; participating in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or other collaborative development methodologies; supporting incident investigation, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution; and staying informed about emerging programming languages, frameworks, cloud technologies, cybersecurity practices, software architecture patterns, and digital engineering trends.The Software Development professional is expected to combine technical expertise, creativity, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving abilities to deliver high-quality software solutions. Success in this role requires excellent communication, collaboration, adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous technological improvement.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, APIs, system architecture, and development methodologies.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, C++, Go, PHP, Ruby, Swift, Kotlin, or equivalent technologies.Familiarity with modern frameworks and platforms such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, .NET, Spring Boot, Django, FastAPI, Laravel, or similar technologies.Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or equivalent database technologies.Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, message queues, and cloud-native application development.Proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or comparable version control and collaborative development platforms.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated deployment, monitoring, and application observability.Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or other major cloud computing platforms.Strong understanding of software testing, debugging, performance optimization, application security, secure coding, and software quality assurance.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Strong written, verbal, technical documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple development priorities and technical projects.High level of professionalism, adaptability, attention to detail, collaboration, and commitment to software quality.Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), generative AI, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted software development is advantageous.Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and modern software delivery practices is beneficial.Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, DevSecOps, application security testing, identity management, and cloud security is advantageous.Professional certifications in software development, cloud computing, DevOps, cybersecurity, or related technologies are considered advantageous but are not mandatory.Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about emerging software technologies, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, automation, development frameworks, and global software engineering practices.
