Across APIs and integrations, used by lenders and service providers, you might build lender APIs, bureau and KYC checks, and notifications.Key responsibilities
- Build features end to end: database schema, backend APIs, and responsive web screens.
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews.
- Integrate third-party and lender APIs (Lending, bureau, KYC, verification, messaging) with proper error handling and retries.
- Own third-party API reporting: track the uptime, error rates, latency and failures of lender, bureau, KYC and messaging APIs; prepare weekly reports and follow up with vendors on SLA breaches.
- Track and improve API performance: monitor p95 / p99 latency, error rates and throughput for our services, find the slowest endpoints, and bring them down through query optimisation, indexing, caching, pagination and async processing.
- Share regular API health reports with the Tech Lead, with week-on-week trends and the actions taken.
- Write efficient SQL and NoSQL queries; fix slow queries and reports.
- Turn PRDs and Figma designs into working features with product managers and designers.
- Debug and fix production issues using logs and monitoring dashboards.
- Keep the documentation and release notes for the features you ship up to date.
- Follow secure coding practices, especially for customer personal and financial data.Requirements
- B.Tech / B.E. / MCA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience building, shipping and supporting production systems with real users and traffic.
- Strong coding skills: clean, efficient, well-tested code, with a solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript fundamentals.
- Backend: Node.js (Express or NestJS); working knowledge of Go (Golang); Python is a plus.
- Frontend: React and Next.js, HTML, CSS, responsive design.
- Databases: MySQL or PostgreSQL, plus MongoDB; comfortable writing joins, indexes and aggregations.
- REST API design, authentication (JWT, OAuth) and API integration.
- Access control: understanding of RBAC (role-based) and ABAC (attribute-based) models and how to implement them in APIs.
- API protection: rate limiting and throttling (for example token bucket with Redis), input validation and idempotency.
- Debugging and monitoring: tracing issues through logs and metrics in production, using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), alerts and APM tools. Knows how to measure latency percentiles (p50, p95, p99) and turn API logs into clear performance reports.
- Queues and async processing: working knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka and Redis (caching, pub/sub, Redis-backed job queues such as BullMQ); understands retries, dead-letter queues and idempotent consumers, and when to move work off the request path.
- Secure coding: strong understanding of common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10 — SQL and NoSQL injection, XSS, CSRF, broken authentication and access control, IDOR, SSRF, insecure deserialisation) and how to prevent them; safe handling of secrets, encryption of sensitive data, dependency scanning, and protecting customer PII and financial data.
- Encryption: TLS / HTTPS in transit, AES encryption at rest, hashing passwords with bcrypt or Argon2, signing tokens, and managing keys with a KMS; knows when to hash, encrypt or mask fields such as PAN, Aadhaar and bank details.
- Load balancing and scaling: how load balancers (AWS ALB / NLB, Nginx) distribute traffic, health checks, sticky sessions versus stateless services, and horizontal scaling.
- Debouncing and throttling: debouncing search and form inputs on the frontend, throttling events, and preventing duplicate submissions and API calls.
- AI-assisted development: uses AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot) productively for coding, testing and debugging, and reviews AI-generated code critically.
- Awareness of building with AI: calling LLM APIs, prompt design, and the basics of RAG and AI agents.
- Deployment and CI/CD: Git and pull-request workflow; building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins); Docker and Kubernetes basics (deployments, services, config maps, secrets, scaling, rolling updates and rollbacks).
- Clear communication in English and Hindi; ownership of tasks through to production.Good to have

- AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS).
- Helm, Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience building or integrating business systems: ERP , CRM and CMS platforms.
- Experience with finance workflows: invoicing, billing, payouts and commissions, GST and TDS, ledgers and reconciliation.
- Good understanding of math: percentages, slabs and tiered calculations, interest and EMI formulas, rounding rules, and basic statistics (averages, percentiles) for reporting.
- Grafana, Prometheus or OpenTelemetry; BI tools such as Metabase.
- Shipped an AI feature to production, or worked with workflow automation such as n8n.
- Awareness of data privacy rules such as the DPDP Act 2023.Interview process1. Screening call with HR.2. Technical round: live coding, data structures and JavaScript fundamentals.3.
