Software Development Engineer II (SDE II)Experience: 4-8 Years Department: Engineering Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout The RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) with 4-8 years of experience to design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs. You will own features end-to-end — from design and development through deployment and production support — and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.jsWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested, production-quality codeParticipate in design reviews — evaluate trade-offs, flag weak designs, and propose better alternativesOwn features end-to-end and drive them to completion with minimum nudgesContainerize services using Docker; deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot on cloud platformsLead code reviews, debug complex production issues, and perform root cause analysisMentor junior engineers and collaborate with product, QA/SDET, and DevOps teamsRequired Technical SkillsNode.js (Mandatory) — strong hands-on backend experience with JavaScript/TypeScriptGo (Optional, but preferred)Strong fundamentals — data structures, algorithms, OOP, and asynchronous programmingGood understanding of system designCloud — working experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP (Required)Git (Required), Docker (Required), Kubernetes (Optional, but preferred)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Linux commands, and basic shell scriptingGood to HaveSQL and/or NoSQL databasesMessaging queues (NATS/Kafka) or event-driven systemsDistributed systems or microservices experiencePrior experience building configurable systems or integrationsRequired Soft SkillsExcellent problem-solving and debugging skillsOwnership mindset — drives things to completion with minimum nudgesEffective communication; works well independently and collaborativelyAttention to detail and a continuous learning attitudeQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field4-8 years of experience in software development, working in Agile environmentsPreferred ExperienceCybersecurity or Identity Management software company
