The role keeps the application, its interfaces, and IATA message flows healthy during live operations and fixes root causes so problems do not recur. This is a functional support position, not a pure development role.Key Responsibilities• Provide second-line support across booking, acceptance, warehouse, flight handling, and accounting; triage and resolve incidents raised by operations users.• Monitor system health, interfaces, and message queues; trace and fix failed cargo messages (FWB, FHL, FFM, CPM, UCM, UWS, ASM, LIR, AGM) and broken integrations.• Root-cause recurring problems; land preventive fixes within problem and change control.• Handle configuration, setup, and enhancements; run SIT, UAT, regression, and E2E testing.• Support production releases, deployments, and post-implementation validation.• Validate operational data with SQL; keep message flows compliant with IATA cargo standards.• Coordinate fixes with users, the vendor, and IT; maintain runbooks and knowledge articles.Required Technical Skills• Hands-on support of an airline cargo system: SkyChain strongly preferred; iCargo, Cargospot, or equivalent considered.• End-to-end functional knowledge of air cargo: booking, acceptance and AWB handling, warehouse, flight handling and manifesting, delivery, and revenue accounting.• IATA cargo messaging (Cargo-IMP/Cargo-XML): reading raw FWB, FHL, FFM, CPM, UCM, UWS, and ASM messages and fixing rejections.• Production support and incident management in live operations, ITIL-based.• Integration troubleshooting across ground handling, customs, accounting, and partner interfaces.• Solid SQL for data validation; hands-on SIT/UAT/regression testing and release support.Candidate Profile• 3+ years in application support of an airline cargo system. This is a support and functional role; pure development profiles will not be considered.• Air cargo domain knowledge is mandatory; vendor, carrier, or handler background a plus.• Calm, methodical troubleshooter; clear under pressure and documents what was fixed.• Available to work onsite in Dubai and provide on-call support for critical cargo operations.
