Role: Software Engineer - Chemistry (Remote)Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Scientific Coding - Chemistry and Python to work on a full-time basis. The position supports the scicode project, which is creating a high‑quality STEM AI training dataset used to train and evaluate frontier AI models. As a scicode trainer you will author, implement, and review complex scientific coding tasks that directly influence the performance of large language models in chemistry‑related domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Write scientific problem specifications that include one main problem and at least three logically connected sub‑problems, ensuring clear constraints and expected outputs.
• Implement verified golden solutions in Python, providing complete unit test coverage for each task.
• Design discriminative test cases that clearly separate correct from incorrect model outputs and support robust evaluation.
• Run quality‑control validation checks on the Turing Central Task Platform, including Tier 1 structural checks and Tier 2 rubric‑based quality assessments.
• Iterate on tasks based on QC feedback to achieve pass@k evaluation criteria across multiple LLM judges such as GPT, Gemini, and Nemotron, while maintaining a low rework rate and consistent L1 approval on first submission.Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Master’s or PhD in chemistry, demonstrating deep subject‑matter expertise.
• Strong Python programming skills, with hands‑on experience in scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, or SymPy.
• Proven ability to write rigorous, well‑posed scientific problems with clear constraints, expected outputs, and deterministic behavior.
• Prior experience in AI data annotation, scientific research, or technical writing, showing familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks or coding benchmarks.
