Software Engineer

We are seeking a high-calibre Software Engineer to join a London-based team at a global hedge fund. This is a high-autonomy role designed for a developer who thrives in a lean environment. Operating without dedicated project managers, you will hold end-to-end ownership of business-critical systems, interfacing directly with Traders, Treasury, Finance, and Operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full lifecycle of projects from requirement definition through to production.Design and build robust solutions using C# or Java.Partner directly with business heads to translate complex needs into technical reality.Contribute to architectural strategy, maintain high engineering standards, and mentor junior developers.Technical RequirementsExpert-level full-stack experience in C# or Java.Advanced SQL proficiency.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver pragmatic, high-impact solutions.Excellent communication skills.Desirable Skills:Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies.Experience mentoring junior developers.
