Software Engineer

We're looking for a mid to senior Software Engineer to join a leading European technology specialist delivering innovative digital solutions across sectors including energy, transport, security, and the public sector.Working within Agile project teams, you'll help design, develop, and deploy modern backend systems, cloud-native applications, and AI driven solutions for a range of enterprise clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop backend applications and REST APIs using Python.Build solutions using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.Design and develop scalable microservices.Contribute to AI/ML and data-driven applications where required.Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.Write high-quality, testable code using unit and integration testing.Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.Technology StackPython, FastAPI, Flask, Django, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Helm, Agile/Scrum, TDD, BDD.What We're Looking For3+ years' commercial Python development experience.Experience with at least two Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).Experience building backend systems and REST APIs.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.Experience working within Agile development teams.Strong understanding of testing practices, including unit and integration testing.Fluent in both Dutch and English.DesirableExperience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.Exposure to AI or Machine Learning projects.Experience with data modelling or data-intensive applications.Previous consultancy or client-facing project experience.
