At Cordys Analytics, we're building the infrastructure that enables scalable, reliable AI-driven cardiovascular diagnostics across European healthcare systems. Our platform helps clinicians detect structural and functional cardiac conditions directly from standard ECGs, including heart failure, myocardial infarction, and arrhythmias, enabling earlier and more accurate diagnosis at scale. We're looking for a strong all-round software engineer who enjoys solving problems across the stack and taking real ownership of systems in production. You'll work on everything from backend services and frontend applications to cloud infrastructure, integrations, and AI deployment pipelines. This is not a role where you work on isolated tickets. You'll help shape architecture decisions, build production systems end to end, and directly influence how the platform evolves. We are a small engineering team with a high technical bar. The systems we build operate in a regulated medical environment, so reliability, traceability, and engineering quality are fundamental parts of how we work. If you enjoy combining strong software engineering with real-world clinical impact, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Work OnDesign, build, test, and maintain production software across the full stackDevelop backend systems and infrastructure using technologies such as Python (for signal processing and machine learning), Typescript/Node and Rust (for the backend), Bazel, and Terraform (for infrastructure as code)Build frontend applications using TypeScript/ReactHelp design and maintain the cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows supporting our AI platformBring AI models and data pipelines into reliable, scalable production environmentsBuild integrations with external systems, APIs, and healthcare platformsContribute to engineering quality, validation, and documentation processes required for production-grade medical softwareCollaborate closely with AI engineers, clinicians, and product colleagues to bring new functionality into productionWhy engineers like working hereReal ownership over architecture and technical decisionsSmall engineering team with high autonomy and little bureaucracyComplex production systems and AI deployment workflowsEngineering challenges around reliability, observability, scalability, and complianceOpportunity to work across the entire stack instead of a narrow siloDirect collaboration with AI researchers and cliniciansSoftware that directly affects patient care in production environmentsRequirementsWhat we're looking forCitizenship in an EU/EEA member state or possession of a valid Dutch work permitCurrently based in the Netherlands or open to relocatingBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical fieldComfortable working across multiple layers of the stackStrong engineering mindset with a pragmatic, hands-on approachInterest in AI systems, distributed infrastructure, and data-intensive applicationsAbility to work independently and take ownership of technical decisionsNice to haveExperience with parts of our stack (Python, Rust, TypeScript/React, Terraform, cloud-native infrastructure)Experience with AI/ML systems, MLOps, or production data pipelinesExperience in health tech, medtech, or other regulated environmentsFamiliarity with standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, or ISO 27001Startup or scale-up experienceExperience with DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure managementBenefitsWhat we offerCompetitive salaryMeaningful technical ownership and influence over architecture and product directionThe opportunity to build next-generation AI infrastructure with direct clinical impactA highly motivated, experienced, and ambitious teamFlexible working hours and part-time options (32-36 hours)Hybrid/remote work possibilitiesOffice space at UtrechtInc on the Utrecht Science Park25 vacation days plus public holidaysDiversity & inclusionWe value diversity of background, experience, and perspective, and strongly encourage women and underrepresented groups in technology to apply.
