Robotics Software EngineerBuild the software infrastructure that lets humanoid robots learn new tasks through configuration, data and context, not new codebases.At the Humanoid Application Center (HAC) we believe humanoid robotics will become a flexible, universal automation layer that fundamentally changes how physical work gets done. We work with partner companies on real-world use cases, and are building the team and internal software stack to enable this. All of it happens on our own floor of humanoids in Schiedam (Rotterdam area).You bring computer science fundamentals and software craftsmanship to a team of robotics generalists and ML specialists, and you own how our software is structured, built, shipped and kept running.What you'll doDesign and maintain the architecture of our application and operations layer: clean interfaces, reusable capability nodes, config-driven applications per use caseTurn one-off use-case code into reusable, documented componentsIntegrate new robot platforms and sensors, keeping the stack hardware-agnosticEstablish engineering practices like code review, testing standards and release discipline as the team growsKeep the stack shippable: CI/CD, containerized builds, automated testing, deployment and monitoring on real robotsWhat you bringStrong software engineering fundamentals: architecture, testing, debugging distributed systemsSolid C++ and PythonExperience structuring complex, multi-component software projects and keeping them maintainableWorking knowledge of Docker, CI/CD and LinuxPragmatism: you know when to harden and when to prototypeStrong pluses: ROS / ROS 2 or embedded middleware, edge compute (NVIDIA Jetson), fleet or telemetry tooling, affinity with industrial environmentsWhat we offerA working floor of state-of-the-art humanoids as your deployment targetGreenfield architecture ownership: the stack is young and your decisions will carryOn-site role in Schiedam (Rotterdam area) with hybrid optionsApply via LinkedIn with your CV or GitHub / project links; we care more about what you've built than formal years of experience.
