The organisation builds software that supports meaningful, real world change and is looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a thoughtful and collaborative approach to engineering.About the RoleYou will help design, build and maintain scalable software products using Python and TypeScript. Working closely with Product, Design and Engineering, you will deliver new features, improve existing systems and contribute to technical decisions across the platform. This is a hands on engineering role with the opportunity to influence architecture, improve code quality, mentor other engineers and help shape engineering best practices.ResponsibilitiesDesigning, developing and maintaining scalable software applicationsBuilding reliable APIs and backend servicesDelivering new features alongside Product, Design and EngineeringContributing to architecture and technical directionTaking part in code reviews and improving engineering standardsMentoring and supporting other engineersImproving platform performance, reliability and observabilityQualificationsStrong commercial experience with Python and TypeScriptExperience with Next.js and NestJSExperience building cloud native applications on AzureExperience working on large scale software platformsA good understanding of Agile and DevOps practicesStrong communication skills and a collaborative approachRequired SkillsStrong commercial experience with Python and TypeScriptExperience with Next.js and NestJSExperience building cloud native applications on AzureExperience working on large scale software platformsA good understanding of Agile and DevOps practicesStrong communication skills and a collaborative approachPreferred SkillsExperience with Terraform or ORM tools would be beneficial.An interest in artificial intelligence, sustainability or technology for good would also be welcomed.Pay range and compensation packageUp to £80,000, depending on experience.Please apply to find out more.
