Its platforms are designed to be simple, inclusive, and accessible for people of all ages and demographics. i-Cura is driven by the belief that everyone deserves healthcare that feels connected, supportive, and easy to navigate.Role Description The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain backend and full-stack components for i-Cura’s digital health platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing robust, scalable services, integrating APIs, optimizing performance, and ensuring security and reliability across systems. The role involves collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into high-quality, maintainable code, as well as participating in code reviews and continuous improvement of engineering practices. This is a contract, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, working closely with the local team to deliver features that enhance healthcare experiences.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, with the ability to design and analyze efficient solutions.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Node, Java, Python, or similar).Hands-on experience with Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs, working with databases, and integrating services.Experience with Identity platforms and Security frameworksKnowledge of software engineering best practices such as version control (e.g., Git), testing, debugging, and continuous integration.Experience or interest in digital health, AI, or data-driven platforms is beneficial.Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Working rights : Australian PR or Citizens only
