What others view as niche speculation, we see as a trillion-dollar opportunity to redefine everyday investments.RoleWe're hiring a Software Engineer to build and ship across Lumina's web and mobile product experience.This is a hands-on, full-stack role for someone who's comfortable moving across the frontend, backend, and infrastructure as the problem demands. You'll work closely with our product team in NYC and our engineering team in Budapest to take features from design through to production. You should be comfortable operating with limited structure, owning problems end-to-end, and shipping fast without sacrificing quality.The ideal candidate is pragmatic, self-directed, and enjoys the full lifecycle of building software: from architecture decisions to the small details that make a product feel polished.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and ship features across the full stack. Frontend, backend, and the systems connecting them.Work with product and design to translate requirements into clean, reliable, well-architected code.Work with real-time market data, pricing feeds, and trading infrastructure to build a fast, trustworthy user experience.Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code review to keep a high engineering bar as the team grows.Debug and resolve issues across the stack, from UI glitches to backend performance bottlenecks.Collaborate with our Budapest-based engineering team on shared architecture, APIs, and standards.Help define engineering processes and best practices appropriate for an early-stage, fast-moving team.Balance speed and rigor: moving quickly while maintaining the reliability our users and regulators expect.Candidate ProfileIdeally 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with full-stack range (not just comfort on one side of the stack). We will also consider outstanding candidates with 3+ years of experience.Strong fundamentals in modern web frameworks and backend/API development; mobile experience is a plus.Track record of shipping production software independently, from design through deployment.Entrepreneurial and self-directed; you operate well with minimal supervision and high accountability.Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, and a distributed engineering team.Experience in fintech, trading, or markets-adjacent products is a plus, but not required.What We OfferJoin Lumina at the ground floor of a new financial category with global potential.
