Yet the technology powering these experiences remains fragmented across ticketing platforms, community tools, email software, payments, spreadsheets, CRMs, and dozens of disconnected products.Socialloop is building the platform that brings it all together.We’re creating one ecosystem for organizations to host, manage, grow, and monetize events and communities — while giving people a better way to discover and participate in experiences happening around them.Our ambition is not to build another ticketing platform.We want to build the operating system for real-world experiences.The RoleWe’re looking for a Founding CTO to own the technical vision and help build Socialloop into a category-defining technology company.You’ll work directly with the founder and have significant ownership over our technology, architecture, engineering organization, and technical roadmap.But this is not a management-only CTO position.You need to be an exceptional builder.You’ll architect systems, write production code, ship products, make critical technical decisions, and solve difficult engineering problems yourself — while building the foundation for the engineering organization around you.As Socialloop scales, your role will scale with it: from building the product directly to recruiting exceptional engineers, establishing engineering culture, and leading the technical organization.What You’ll OwnTechnical strategy and architecture across Socialloop.Development and evolution of our core platform.Infrastructure, scalability, reliability, security, and performance.Engineering standards, tooling, testing, deployment, and development workflows.Technical decisions across payments, ticketing, communities, communications, discovery, analytics, integrations, and AI.Recruiting and building a world-class engineering team.Establishing an engineering culture centered around ownership, speed, quality, and experimentation.Evaluating and implementing emerging technologies that can create meaningful product or engineering advantages.Working directly with the founder on product strategy and company direction.What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone with exceptional technical ability and unusually high ownership.You should have:A strong track record of building and shipping production software.Deep understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, infrastructure, and modern web systems.Strong full-stack engineering ability with particular strength in backend and systems architecture.Experience designing systems that can scale in complexity and usage.Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, security, and production operations.Strong product intuition — you think about what should be built, not simply how to build it.The ability to move from a whiteboard discussion to production code quickly.Strong opinions, loosely held.An obsession with learning and experimenting with emerging technology.A practical understanding of how AI is changing software development and product architecture.The ability to attract and lead exceptional engineers.The Person We’re Looking ForYou’re technical enough to spend hours debugging a difficult systems problem and product-minded enough to ask whether the feature should exist in the first place.You want to build.You move fast without being careless.You care about beautifully designed systems and beautifully designed products.You experiment constantly with new technologies and believe AI fundamentally changes what small engineering teams can accomplish.And you want enough ownership that the success of the company feels directly connected to the quality of your decisions.Why SocialloopA massive category.
